Colourway: SQUADRON BLUE / PURE PLATINUM - OBSIDIAN - WHITE
Style Code: 554969-400
Release date: 1st February, 2014
I kicked off the Flyknit Chukka Blog series with the original Wolf Grey colourway that released in June 2013. Unfortunately I missed out on the very limited HTM Flyknit Chukka release of 2013 also so I decided that the next best option was to track down these Squadron Blue Chukka’s.
In my opinion, these sneakers look very similar to the HTM model and were far easier to get my hands on.
The subtle blend of Squadron Blue and Obsidian provides the overall flyknit upper with a both dark and light blue material. Pure Platinum and Wolf Grey colours combine to run a white/silver tone through the blue thus creating a stark contrast that has proved highly popular amongst sneakerheads.
The shoe features a white swoosh that matches the colour of the midsole. Unlike previous Flyknit Chukka releases, this colourway features a speckled sole with touches of Squadron blue speckles spread across the entire midsole.
This colourway sold out very fast across Europe and Worldwide and it is very difficult to find a new pair for sale. At the time of writing this blog there were few pairs available for sale on Ebay or Klekt. If you do manage to see them for a reasonable price I advise that you buy them before someone else seizes the opportunity.

The Flyknit Chukka was released to the public in 2013. It’s a sneaker that was designed with both performance and comfort in mind. Nike used a Lunarlon midsole that gives the wearer a smooth but light feeling when wearing the shoe.
This is one of my favourite colourways that was released for this sneaker type. It features a dark/light grey flyknit upper combined with a blood red swoosh. The flywire that runs through the flyknit material matches the colour of the swoosh and the red lace locks can be seen below.
The shape of this shoe wraps around the wearers feet and ankles acting almost like a lightweight version of the combat boot. The Chukkas may not be suitable for hiking or any outdoor activities but they are ideal for leisurewear. They are a design that is timeless and the Chukka has become a wardrobe staple for any sneakerhead.
