The Swedish meatball is a classic staple food that every tourist visiting the country should experience. Meatballs for the People was an eatery that came highly recommended by the locals. Fortunately on the day we went it was completely empty and we had the entire restaurant to ourselves.
Meatballs for the People isn’t only a restaurant, it also serves as a shop and bar too. The fridges are stacked full of many different cuts of meat coming from the wide variety of animal meat used in the various types of meatballs. The bar section includes lagers, pale ales and a selection of wine.
There are daily offers on the menu every day for 125SEK which amounts to roughly €13 for a meal which is very reasonable in Stockholm. For my meal, I chose the lamb meatballs along with the side of mashed potatoes and berries as pictured below. The portion sizes are filling and the standard of food here will not disappoint.
