Located close to the main food and party area in Budapest named Gozsdu Udvar, Sophie and Ben’s provide a relaxed restaurant atmosphere for couples and families seeking a filling meal.
The menu is has multiple different choices of main courses while also dedicating entire sections to pulled pork, premium burgers and standard burgers.
The standard burgers come with a choice of meats such as chicken and beef whereas the premium burgers have options including duck, salmon and steak.
The burgers come with a generous side of fries, some coleslaw and the typical condiments like ketchup etc.
The prices are very reasonable as this bistro gives off a very upmarket vibe, the average price for a standard burger meal is 2300 HUF which equates to roughly €7.50 for the meal that includes the side order of fries and dips.
How to get there:
The bistro is just around the corner from Gozsdu Udvar located on a side street. If you follow the map below you should be able to find it with ease.
This quaint bakery is my number one place to eat breakfast in Budapest. Butter Brothers is 5 minutes walk from the central market hall in Budapest and opens from 7am in the morning.
From the moment you walk in the door you are greeted by the smell of fresh pastries, sandwiches and coffee. It can be a busy spot depending on what time of the morning you go at but it is worth the wait for the quality and taste of the food you can purchase here.
The food can be consumed inside the bakery, there are several different tables and chairs to relax and enjoy your meal or you can take the food to go. Sandwiches, soup, tea etc. are also served and the price of the pastries on average is a modest 300HUF. Overall, this is a great place to start your day with a freshly made roll, pastry and cup of black tea/coffee.
